FIT FOR THE FUTURE – ASSESSING IT FUNCTION READINESS
This programme provides a fast track immersion in assessing the readiness of the IT function to address future shifts, shocks, and disruptions. The approach is designed to provide a rapid execution process to help digital leaders and their teams to evaluate the preparedness of an organization’s IT function to meet future business needs, challenges, and opportunities. This must be done in the context of a constantly changing external environment and the rapid advancement of critical technologies such as AI, cloud, 5G / 6G, IoT, edge computing, metaverses, and Web 3.0. The ultimate purpose and goal of this programme is to provide digital leaders with an assessment framework and tools to identify areas of strength and weakness, and to develop a clear plan for IT function improvement and innovation.
This programme is focused on helping digital leaders and their teams in identifying and assessing the critical timeline of key technologies that could impact the organisation over the next one, three, and five years. The course introduces a structured and accelerated process for the IT department to research and evaluate new and emerging technologies to determine their potential impact and relevance to the organization. The approach is designed to help the IT department and wider organisation to remain current with technology trends and emerging risks and opportunities; improve decision- making around technology investment; set innovation priorities and accelerate delivery; and ensure close alignment with business strategy.
This course introduces a fast track process of technology road mapping. The primary goal is to help IT and the business to prioritise and focus technology investment choices and budgets. The approach helps align technology trends and the results of technology horizon scanning with business goals, strategies, and initiatives and the resulting technology investment plans. The output provides IT and the organisation with a clear visual model of the likely future evolution of key technologies and the impacts, challenges, and opportunities they could create over time. The Road Mapping course can also be combined with the Technology Foresight and Horizon Scanning course to create an integrated and customised offering for organisations.
