CIO Academy Asia together with Fortinet had a dinner discussion at Raffles Jakarta on ‘How CyberResilient are we?’ with several C-level executives in Jakarta. Candid views were shared about the existing cybersecurity threat landscape and how organisations should prepare themselves from being attacked.

It was unanimously agreed that our defence posture should be driven by our business needs and not from a technology angle. Other issues like cybersecurity policies and frameworks were also discussed. Fortunate to have speakers Pak Setiaji (Head Jakarta Smart City), Pak Agus (GM, IT Chevron) and Alvin (Fortinet, Chief Security Strategist, APAC) to share their insights.

P. Ramakrishna has been involved with the ICT domain for the public sector for more than 30 years from 1983-2014. He joined Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) in 1999, his last held position was Director of IDA’s Industry Development Division. Prior to IDA, Rama worked in the Ministry of Defence for 16 years.

In his current role, Agus Wicaksono manages the whole spectrum of Information Technology and Management for Chevron IndoAsia, covering key geographic operation areas of Sumatra, Kalimantan, Java, plus other growth areas in Indonesia, Philippines, coordination with Asia Pacific region, and member of Chevron Global IT Leadership Team. He has been tasked with various projects and roles ever since joining Chevron. The latest among others are delivering Global Information Link (a ~$ 50 million project) to IndoAsia region (Jakarta, 2009-2010), and establishing IT Strategic Plan for Global Upstream Drilling & Completion (Houston, Texas-USA, 2010-2011).

Setiaji’s current position is Head of Jakarta Smart City Management Unit of Communications, Information and Public Relations Division Jakarta Capital City Government. His unit has accountability to provide updated information about Jakarta and he is managing information through Jakarta’s official portals (jakarta.go.id and smartcity.jakarta.go.id). He also succeeded to build and develop Jakarta Smart City Lounge. He started his career on 1998 as part of Board of Regional Development Planning Jakarta Capital City Government. Prior to be Unit Head of Jakarta Smart City management, he has some experience to manage some project related to Board of Regional Development Planning and information technology. He also succeeded to develop application such as m-Gov, m-Poverty and m-Musrenbang to support citizen of Jakarta.

Alvin Rodrigues has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. At Fortinet, he is responsible for sales and marketing strategy, program development, business messaging, and the deployment of the strategies through the different routes to market across South-East Asia and Hong Kong. He speaks at public forums and events on security, and engages with executives one-to-one or over roundtable discussions to understand their security challenges and propose solutions optimised to their business needs.
