CIO Academy Asia in partnership with HRM Asia hosted a unique CIO/CHRO Roundtable discussion and networking cocktail as part of HR Festival Singapore.
Some 30 CIOs and CHROs from different industry verticals gathered to exchange views on making work more productive by aligning the HR and IT functions within the organisation.
Led by CIO/CHRO duo – Brendan O’Neill from Seaco and Syed Ali Abbas from Global Fashion group, Practitioners found consensus that the two camps, which have traditionally been operating in silos, should come together to drive new business value and be key contributors to the profitability, better customer engagement and employee success of their organisations.
In a distinguished panel moderated by CIO Academy’s Rama, with world renown thought leaders on HR – Josh Bersin & Jason Averbook, the leaders were challenged to build an organisation of the future that demonstrates digital sustainability, enable frictionless collaboration and leveraging data effectively in acquiring and retaining the best talent to stay competitive. David Chin, CIO Academy’s youngest member, represented the voice of the millennial workforce by highlighting the need for organisations to provide platforms that enable the adoption of digital tools in a secure and scalable way.
